Invention, Innovation & Design Competition 2009


Accounting Research Institute (ARI) dan Fakulti Perakaunan akan mengadakan pertandingan Invention, Innovation and Design (IID) peringkat Fakulti pada 28 & 29 September 2009 bertempat di ruang legar tingkat 12, Fakulti Perakaunan.

Semua pelajar dialu-alukan untuk menyertai pertandingan ini. Sebarang idea/produk rekacipta anda (cth: accounting games, CGPA planner, etc.) boleh dipertandingkan sama ada secara individu atau berkumpulan.

Pelajar yang berjaya dalam pertandingan peringkat Fakulti seterusnya akan mewakili Fakulti ke peringkat UiTM dalam pertandingan IID UiTM, Januari 2010. Kejayaan di peringkat UiTM akan melayakkan peserta untuk ke pertandingan peringkat kebangsaan (ITEX, MTE, PECIPTA etc.) dan antarabangsa (Geneva, Pittsburgh, Seoul etc.).

Borang penyertaan boleh di perolehi di pejabat akademik Fakulti Perakaunan (Tingkat 11) ataupun di bilik Ketua Program. Borang yang telah siap diisi hendaklah di pulangkan kepada Ketua Program: Puan Intan (Normal Track), En. Ezrien (Fast Track) sebelum 31 Ogos 2009.

Digi Leap 2 Program - Managing Mindsets Program

Dear students,

For those interested to join softskill training by DiGi (We call it DiGi LEAP 2 - A Managing Mindsets Program), please submit your name as soon as possible. An introduction session will be held on 15 July 2009 (Wednesday) at Dewan Kuliah DK H Level 6 Menara 2 Bangunan S&T UiTM Shah Alam at 1.00pm - 2.00pm (expected to finish the session at 1.45pm to allow ample time for students to go for afternoon classes at 2.10pm. The session will allow the students to hear from DiGi and students can then decide whether they have interest in the program.

Pendaftaran Kursus Sesi Julai 2009 - TERKINI!!!

Dear Students,

Saya dapati ada kesilapan arahan dalam sistem ICRESS berkaitan kumpulan fast track dan normal track. Saya telah mengarahkan pihak pengendali sistem membatalkan arahan tersebut. Untuk tujuan pendaftaran kursus, sila rujuk maklumat sebenar di bawah. Bagi sesetengah pelajar yang tidak mendaftar kerana kelas tak cukup e.g. A,B,C,D sahaja yang ada, kelas-kelas lain sedang dimasukkan dalam sistem. Sila tunggu sehingga minggu hadapan untuk dimasukkan sepenuhnya.

Situasi bagaimanakah seseorang pelajar boleh menduduki Intersesi?

1. Pelajar yang fail subjek tersebut dan ingin mengulang [Contoh Fail FAR450, ingin mengulang FAR450 ketika Intersesi]

2. Pelajar yang fail kursus pra-syarat menyebabkan pelajar terpaksa drop subjek yang lebih tinggi [Contoh: Pelajar fail FAR450 pada semester lepas. Semester ini, pelajar tidak mengambil FAR500 kerana terpaksa mengulang FAR450. Pelajar ini dibenarkan mengambil Intersesi FAR500 supaya semester hadapan, pelajar tidak ketinggalan dalam subjek FAR berbanding rakan-rakan lain yang tidak gagal]

3. Kes-kes khas yang ditentukan oleh fakulti[Contoh: pelajar terlibat dalam program pertukaran pelajar UiTM-UNISA Australia; 2 kelas AIS 510 terpaksa dibuka kerana kekurangan lab pada semester hadapan akibat daripada pertembungan syllabus halatuju baru (AIS510 diambil pada semester 5) dengan halatuju lama (AIS510 diambil ketika part 6); dan lain-lain kes khas yang ditentukan oleh Fakulti]. * Pelajar tidak dibenarkan menarik subjek semester lebih tinggi ke semester rendah tanpa kebenaran Fakulti.

Untuk makluman pelajar (non-droppers or non-repeaters), hanya subjek AIS 510 sahaja dibuka untuk semua pelajar (tanpa mengira status droppers or repeaters). Ini kerana pada semester hadapan, lab level 4 akan menjalani proses renovation manakala akan wujud pertembungan part 5 dan part 6 mengambil AIS510 serentak (pelan pengajian baru dan lama). Untuk mengurangkan masalah kelas yang terlalu sesak semester hadapan, pihak Fakulti akan membuka kelas AIS510 Intersesi kepada pelajar yang berminat (dijangka 2 kelas).

Last year's CIMA Business Challenge was a success and we are pleased to inform you that CIMA Malaysia is organising its fourth annual event.

The CIMA Business Challenge will give the students a great opportunity to find out the depth of their financial knowledge, business management skills, expand their competitive ability, and even get internship opportunities from well known organisations.

The CIMA Business Challenge consists of a preliminary round where contestants submit their analysis of a given case study which will be evaluated by a panel of judges. In the final round, the short listed contestants will present their assignment to a live panel of judges to compete for the Challenge Trophy and other prizes.

The winning team will represent Malaysia in the CIMA Global Business Challenge, which will be held at Nanyang Singapore University in August 2009. Teams from all over the world will be participating in the global challenge. They will come from the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India, China and Singapore.

The final event for Malaysia CIMA Business Challenge is planned to be held on 20 June 2009 and we are pleased to invite undergraduates students from your esteemed university/college to participate in the competition.

She was the founder of Association of Bachelor of Accountancy Students in year 2000. As the former advisor of Advanced Diploma in Accountancy students, Pn Radiah and the founding committee established the Association of Bachelor of Accountancy Students. Pn Radiah used to teach Accounting Information System and Public Sector Accounting.

HISTORY

Association of Bachelor of Accountancy Students ( ABACCs ) is one of the oldest students’ association in UiTM. The registration number SH003 indicates that ABACCs was the third students’ association to be registered in UiTM. At that time, Bachelor of Accountancy was known by the name of Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.

OBJECTIVES
To become a dynamic and effective organization for the Bachelor of Accountancy students in acting as a legal body in providing a mean for its members to voice up anything concerning the students welfare and affairs through the appropriate channels.
The difference between of ABACCS and MPP

ABACCs and MPP actually works for the students. The difference is that ABACCs scope of work is narrowed and more focused on the affairs of the Bachelor of Accountancy students while MPP is the core body that monitors the whole activities of the students association in UiTM.

Part 6 Lepasan Matrikulasi

Anda perlu mendaftar BEL 490. BEL 490 dan 492 hanya berbeza dari segi kod tetapi kandungan silibus adalah sama. Anda boleh berada dalam kelas yang sama tetapi pastikan anda mendaftar BEL 490 (Contoh BEL 492A/BEL 490A). Tambahan 5 kekosongan akan dibuat bagi setiap group. Sekiranya penuh, sila kumpulkan senarai nama supaya KP dapat tahu jumlah pelajar lepasan matrik yang berada dalam kumpuilan BEL 492. Ini amat perlu untuk KP menambahkan bilangan BEL 490.

FAR 500 Part

Satu group baru untuk repeaters/droppers FAR 500 Part 8 akan dibuka. Saya memerlukan feedback ada tak sesiapa yang ada kelas pukul 4-6 (sila nyatakan subjek dan kumpulan serta hari apa?). Kelas dijangka akan dibuka untuk slot 4-6 petang. Kepada yang masih berada dalam kumpulan part 6, sila drop untuk memberi laluan kepada part 6 untuk mendaftar.

Pelajar Lepasan DAIS Part 4

Group baru CRG 520 telah dibuka untuk pelajar lepasan DAIS Part 4. Anda boleh mendaftar dalam gropup 4Q.

Prosedur menumpang kelas PLK

To all students:

Menumpang kelas PLK hanya dibenarkan kepada pelajar repeaters/droppers yang tidak dapat mendaftar sesuatu subjek kerana clash dengan subjek lain (time table harus disemak secara keseluruhan). Kelas penuh bukan alasan untuk menumpang PLK tetapi pelajar harus berjumpa KP untuk menambah bilangan pelajar dalam kelas. Jika tidak boleh, KP akan memberi arahan apa yang perlu dibuat. Saya dapati, ada pelajar yang sengaja ingin menumpang kelas PLK kerana tidak mahu kelas waktu pagi ataupun kerana bekerja part time.

Prosedur menumpang kelas PLK:
1. Pelajar harus berjumpa KP untuk menentukan sama ada mereka layak menumpang kelas PLK

2. Jika layak, pelajar akan diarahkan berjumpa dengan koordinator PLK iaitu Encik Adnan. Sila buat satu surat permohonan menumpang kelas PLK dan majukan kepada En. Adnan. Anda kemudiannya akan diarahkan oleh En. Adnan untuk mendapatkan tandatangan pensyarah yang mengajar, tandatangan KP dan pastikan salinan asal diberikan kepada Encik Adnan dan satu salinan kepada KP.

3. Apabila proses selesai, anda boleh masuk kelas PLK.

4. Koordinator akan membuat dummy group untuk pelajar daftar subjek yang terlibat (anda tidak boleh mendaftar subjek dalam group PLK kerana status PLK adalah part time). Sila tunggu arahan KP melalui notis dan laman blog berkenaan kumpulan dummy yang perlu anda daftarkan bagi subjek menumpang PLK tersebut.

AWAS!! kegaglan anda mendaftar dalam group yang betul akan menyebabkan subjek tersebut akan digugurkan secara automatik apabila sistem ditutup.

Some reminders...

Please be informed that:

1. Group 4P is only for new students (ex-DIA)
2. Group 4S is for ex-DAIS/DIB/DBS
3. Part 6, group K,L,M,N - for those taking FAR 450 (no FAR 500 offered for these groups)
4. Part 8 students taking FAR 500 this semester, please drop the subject and register for "intersesi"
5. So far, FAR 500, FAR 600,MAF 640, MAF 420 will be offered during "intersesi" more codes coming next week.

Consultation hours on Monday 5th January 2009

Dear students,

Please be informed that on Monday, consultation with KP would be from 2.00pm to 5.30pm. I need to attend meeting pentadbir from 9.00am to 12.30 noon and I'm having PLK class from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. However on tuesday consultation hours will be extended till 9.30 pm.

Penjelasan terhadap komen-komen pelajar

Dear students,

I received hundreds of sms & phone calls. So sorry for not being able to answer some of the phone calls or to reply sms.

Just to inform all of you, (coz I did receive unfriendly e-mails accusing me for all the difficulties/problems during course registration):

1. I am not the one who designed the time table/who set up the system. My responsibility is just to assist you if you have any difficulty during your course registration. When I received complaints from students.(e.g: clashes etc.), I will notify the Coordinator to check the system. In the case of servicing subjects such as BEL, CTU, etc., we need to inform Pusat Bahasa or CITU to rectify the problems.

2. Sorry for the long waiting time outside KP's room. What you need to know is that my "tugas hakiki" is lecturing. I have classes (3 classes) to lecture. Besides, as KP , I have meetings to attend, documents to be signed or reviewed, phone calls to be answered, letters to take action (eg: rayuan kemasukan from all over Malaysia). Since the opening of the online registration system, I work 7 days a week (eg: today (Saturday) I need to attend bengkel e-voting for campus election, tomorrow (Sunday) will look at the complaints written in the book left on the counter “some of you call it as buku masalah” ). I even went back late at 10.00 pm (can you imagine... working alone in my room at level 11 at night to settle the registration problems... going down unaccompanied in the scary lift at night.. I do hope that students will understand and be patient. Normal track is not similar to fast track. Fast track.. the number of students is not as large as normal track (just around 800 students) but for normal track, I have about 1,700 students. Fast track, they only have lepasan DIA but normal track, we have Lepasan DIA, DIB, DBS, Matrikulasi, Politeknik, UTM and many other colleges. It means that many works to be done, many problems to cater as all of you have different program structures.

However, I am so thankful to few students who really understand the situation, willing to wait until 8.30 pm to be entertained, willing to help (wan & the gang) and I am so pleased when few students bought me a cup of coffee & buns when they realized that I didn’t have time to go for lunch.


Therefore, please act promptly to notices as your action could speed up the process.
