We are pleased to inform you that CIMA Malaysia is organizing its 6th CIMA Global Business Challenge Malaysia in Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur Campus on 11 June 2011. We wish to seek support from all CIMA Advocates to promote this event to the Accounting and Business students and encourage them to participate.
We are pleased to provide more information on the CIMA Global Business Challenge 2011.
The Global Business Challenge Malaysia 2011 consists of a preliminary round where contestants submit their analysis of a given case study which will be evaluated by a panel of judges. In the final round, the short listed contestants will present their assignment to a live panel of judges to compete for the Challenge Trophy and other prizes.
The winning team will then represent Malaysia to compete in the CIMA Global Business Challenge Final, which will be held at Chengdu, China in August 2011. Teams from all over the world will be participating in the global challenge. They are from Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Middle East, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and United Kingdom.
This competition is open to all undergraduates currently pursuing programmes in accounting or business in universities and colleges in Malaysia. The Business Challenge consists of two phases – each team (consisting of four members) will submit their analysis of a given case study via email and following an assessment by a panel of judges, the top four teams will be selected to compete in the final round on 11 June 2011 at the Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur Campus. In the final round, the teams are required to present their solutions to the case study and take part in a Question & Answer session by the judges.
